Sample Retreat Day

6:00 AM: Join for group Meditation in our custom hand-built temple

7:15 AM to 8:30 AM: Practice and Instruction of Asanas (Yoga postures) in our open air studio with the healing powers of the Ocean’s breeze and the birds singing to the sunlight

8:30 AM: Breakfast: Enjoy a selection of Herbal teas and fair-trade organic coffee along with an abundance of exotic local fruits, home-made granola, chia-seed pudding, and assorted offerings

Enjoy a beautiful 15 minute walk to Isaac Hale park and the newest black sand beach in the world. Bathe in newly created thermal heated soaking ponds. Tour the new lava fields or just relax under a mango tree; It’s all up to you how to spend your days

1:00 PM Lunch: Freshly prepared, locally grown and made with Love

5:00 PM: Join for group Meditation in our custom hand-built temple

6:00 PM: Dinner: Gather with the community to celebrate Life and abundance with an intentionally prepared Dinner meal. To honor Kirpal Singh’s teachings on non-violence, we are a vegetarian facility and do not serve meat, fish, or eggs.

Evening: Various workshops and additional Yoga classes may be offered throughout your stay, you will be given that Calendar of events upon check-in.

There are no fixed dates or set limits to your retreat. You may stay as long or as short as you wish.

The Facilities

Hale (Hawaiian; pronounced Hah-Lay; meaning: building, pavilion, house or meeting place)

Yoga Hale: Our largest event space, the Yoga Hale has about 1000 square feet of floor space. It can accommodate over 100 people sitting or standing or about 20 people stretched out and lying down (i.e. on yoga mats). The Yoga Hale overlooks the ocean as-well as the new lava fields that surrounded the property during the 2018 volcano eruption.

Meditation Hale: Our Balinese Meditation Pavilion is open 24 hours a day for prayer, small group meetings, yoga or solitude. Custom-made in Bali, it is a very holy and special place for prayer and reflection. It can accommodate 25 to 30 people sitting. It is equipped with a TV, DVD player, lighting, cushions, an ocean view and its own independent solar power system.

    Booking Policy Highlights

    📅 Cancellation Policy: We understand that plans may change. You are eligible for a 50% refund if you cancel up to one week prior to your scheduled arrival, excluding fees. Please note that cancellations made less than seven days before your local check-in time on the day of arrival are not eligible for refunds. Additionally, no refunds are provided for unused nights or early departures.

    👥 Guest Agreement: As our valued guest, we kindly ask you to adhere to all rules and regulations of KMEC during your stay. While enjoying our facilities and community, please remember that you are a guest rather than a tenant. Your cooperation ensures a harmonious environment for everyone. We are a vegetarian and substance-free facility. KMEC holds quiet hours from 9PM - 8AM. Please refrain from playing loud music or making loud noises in our facilities, hosting parties, or inviting guest without prior notification to KMEC Management.

    Cancellation by KMEC

    KMEC reserves the right to cancel the reservation at any time, for any reason, prior to the check-in date. In the event of such cancellation, KMEC will provide the guest with a full refund of any amounts paid. KMEC shall not be liable for any additional costs, expenses, or damages incurred by the guest as a result of the cancellation, including but not limited to travel costs, accommodation expenses, or any other consequential or incidental damages. By booking with us, you accept this Agreement, the guest acknowledges and agrees that KMEC shall not be held responsible for any claims or legal actions arising from such cancellation.
