KMEC Guest Rules and Community Guidelines

A stay at KMEC works best when guests protect quiet practice, shared facilities, tropical land, and one another. These public guidelines explain the enduring principles; your reservation terms, retreat agreement, safety briefing, posted notices, and direct staff instructions contain the current rules for your dates.

How should I use shared spaces?

Leave kitchens, bathrooms, practice rooms, and gathering areas ready for the next person. Keep belongings within assigned areas, respect scheduled use, and ask before moving equipment or entering a space reserved for another group.

How do I protect quiet and practice?

Use a considerate voice and device volume, especially near cabins and practice areas. Follow the quiet hours and program boundaries provided for your stay rather than relying on an older webpage or another guest’s recollection.

What should I know about the land?

Stay on approved routes, follow instructions around water and power systems, do not harvest plants or fruit without permission, and expect rain, uneven ground, insects, and wildlife. Report hazards or damage promptly instead of attempting an unfamiliar repair.

Which policy controls if details differ?

The most recent written reservation terms, signed retreat agreement, posted safety information, and direct KMEC instructions take priority. Contact the center before arrival if a rule affects accessibility, medication, service animals, food, transportation, or another essential need.

Need a specific policy?

Ask before you book or travel.

KMEC can clarify the current rule for your reservation, retreat group, accessibility need, or arrival plan.
